A space to feel cared for - and to understand yourself more deeply

So much of what we struggle with on the surface - anxiety, depression, self-doubt, disassociation, panic, people pleasing, - has roots that go deeper than we realize. At Coastal Cedar Counselling, we help you look beneath the surface to understand why those patterns exist and where they began.

Often, the way we cope or protect ourselves once made perfect sense. They started early - shaped by the environments and relationship that taught us through positive and negative reinforcement. Over time, those same strategies can create the opposite experience - becoming exhausting and limiting. We can provide space for you to gently explore how those early experiences still live within you today - not to find blame, but to control reaction by bringing awareness, compassion, and control.

Counselling doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or clinical; it’s a supportive space to slow down, make sense of our experiences, and discover new ways of understanding ourselves. Our approach with folks is individualized and rooted in relationship; providing a safe space for change and growth - without judgement or urgency.
